Marina

With the Marina Day Bed, I wanted to create something that feels architectural and sculptural, while still being completely relaxed and connected to nature. The form takes inspiration from the lotus, with its broad, organic shape and layered geometry creating a sense of openness and enclosure at the same time. The generous circular footprint feels almost like a flower opening outward, while the open woven frame keeps the piece visually light and allows it to interact with the landscape around it.

I played with repetition and rhythm in the vertical weave, using the structure itself as a defining design element. The oversized seat and layered cushions soften that geometry and create a space you can truly settle into. For me, Marina is about creating a destination outdoors, a place that feels intimate, restorative and naturally connected to its surroundings.
